February was kinda uneventful. I stopped chasing records and focused on good old hard work. I’m making steady progress, maybe a bit too slow but then there’s nothing for me to rush towards. I’m still doing Smolov jr for benchpress, squat and deadlift; my broken toe healed enough for me to start jogging again (weather is so nice this March, too!). I’m approaching 450kg in total (137bp, 140dl, 157.5 sq) so i’m quite happy but obviously I can do so much more and this is just a start. I may attempt a 140kg benchpress around mid/end of April if I feel that I’m ready.
The hiking season has started as well so I may be going off on a trip this Saturday. I’m also starting humbly this year with a 15km route but I don’t want to burn out too soon with 50km+ hikes this year. I need to do this smart this time and build up my fitness over time with jogging and reasonable diet.
Finally, i got a Zwift subscription. It’s fun but i’m just too tired most of the time so I need to think about this. I guess it’s great for losing weight so I don’t want to give up on that too soon.
